Hi!
My name is Tracy and I´m twelwe years old. I live in a small village called Richfield with my mum and dad and my little brother Jim.
There are two houses on our farm. My family lives in the biggest house and my grandma and grandpa live next to us in a smaller house.
My mum works at the farm. She takes care of the horses and she has riding lessons in the evenings. My father is a teacher, he works at the school in Hastings, about half an hour drive from our home.
I go to school here in Richfield. It´s not far from the farm so I usually go there by bike. If the weather is bad my grandma drives me in her Landrover. I like my school. We are 25 kids in my class. My best subject is English. I liketo read and to write stories.
My best friends are Lucy and Carleen. We do a lot of things together. After school we can go swimming or take the bus to Hastings. There are lots of shops and cafés where we like to hang. “The Lucky Star” has got delicious ice creams!
At Wednesdays and Saturdays I have to help my mum with the horses. It´s sometimes hard work, but I like it. My favourite horse is Diamond, he is calm and gentle. Sometimes when I´m sad I go out to the stable and sit down beside him and just listen to him eating his hay. It feels like we understand each other.
